The Full Story
FinFlow was operating on a decade-old codebase with a fragmented frontend and an increasingly unreliable backend. Users complained about slow page loads, confusing navigation, and a design that looked like it belonged in 2012. The platform was losing customers to more modern competitors.
We conducted a comprehensive technical audit, then designed and built a completely new platform from the ground up. The new architecture leveraged Next.js for server-rendered pages, PostgreSQL with optimized queries for real-time financial data, and a custom design system built on Tailwind CSS that could scale across all product surfaces.
The new platform launched to overwhelmingly positive feedback. Load times dropped from 8 seconds to under 2, user adoption jumped 140% in the first quarter, and the design system enabled the FinFlow team to ship new features 3x faster than before.
